Greetings, neighbours! As we approach summer, we joined forces with Greystones Town Team to promote and support the annual day of the local neighboured Street Feast.
No matter where you reside all are welcome. Past feasts have unfolded in front gardens, streets, green spaces, car parks, alleyways, local parks, and community centres. We’re eager to see your innovative ideas this year.
Don’t delay; register on www.streetfeast.ie today to secure your complimentary party pack, featuring bunting, posters, invites, and an invaluable DIY guide. Please plan your Street Feast to coincide with the annual day of Street Feast on Sunday, the 25th of June, 2023
For those of you new to Sustainable Greystones, here's a brief introduction. As a part of the global Transition network, we are striving to create a low-carbon, socially fair future and resilient community. Our mission centres on making Greystones more sustainable by tackling climate change through community engagement and inclusive participation.
We aim to empower our community, foster a sense of belonging, and encourage participation through collaboration and people-centric methods. Using tried and tested methodologies from the Transition network, we are establishing renewable energy projects, re-localising food systems, and creating community and green spaces. We also take steps to protect our community from harmful influences that could adversely impact our local environment or community wellbeing.
Our initiative is still in its infancy, but we are steadfastly committed to making a positive impact. Join us in our mission to create a better future for our children and our community. Let’s look forward to a splendid summer, and do visit the Sustainable Greystones website here for more information.
